266 THOUSAND 500 TABLETS DELIVERED TO STUDENTS AS PART OF THE 3RD PHASE OF COMPUTER SUPPORT TO DISTANCE EDUCATION

In addition to the distribution of 150 thousand tablets and computers to students who need internet and computers during the distance education process organized in cooperation with local administrations, private sector companies and civil initiatives, the Ministry of National Education started the 3rd phase of distribution of 500 thousand tablets provided by the Ministry upon the directive of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk announced during an online meeting with the Directors of National Education of 38 cities of the country that a total of 266 thousand and 500 tablets have already been delivered to students.

The Minister of National Education started the 3rd phase of distribution of 500 thousand tablets provided by the Ministry.
 
In addition to the distribution of 150 thousand tablets and computers to students who need the internet and computers during the distance education process organized in cooperation with local administrations, private sector companies and civil initiatives, the Ministry of National Education started the distribution of 500 thousand tablets provided by the Ministry upon the directive of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
 
The Ministry distributed 51 thousand tablets last week and it is planned to deliver 116 thousand and 500 tablets with the beginning of the new phase. Distribution of 500 thousand tablets will be completed until the end of January.
 
Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk announced during an online meeting with the Directors of National Education of 38 cities that a total of 66 thousand tablets will be delivered to students this week.
 
Emphasizing that "Equal Opportunity in Education" is the prior goal of the Ministry, Selçuk said, "I hope that every student in the country will have access to the EBA internet platform which is the important leg of distance education just like TRT EBA channels."
 
Pointing out that the Ministry distributes tablets according to the distribution strategy defined according to official data concerning students who need tablets, Minister Selçuk said, "We made the contact for monthly 25 GB GSM internet service which is required by the students in order to gain access to live class applications and EBA platform."
 
"We continue to take firm steps together until all students have access to distance education," said Minister Selçuk adding that we would like to thank local administrations, private sector companies and nongovernmental organizations who made donations for tablet distribution to students.
