"Students will have the opportunity to improve their talents"
Manisa Fine Arts High School Principal Yılmaz Sertdemir stated that they are giving artistic guidance services to 23 schools in Manisa which are among the selected 1000 vocational high schools adding that, "We have music and painting classes. Our first music performance was staged on March 18, the anniversary of Çanakkale Victory. Vocational high school students sang folk songs while fine arts students played their instruments. Now, we are giving painting classes. Our students perform their arts and they also have the opportunity to develop their skills."

"Peer education"
Meanwhile, music teachers Eren Güler said students must sing songs regardless of its genre and stated, "Vocational high school students and fine arts student come together as a part of this project. These are online meetings. It is a good example of peer education... Actually, this project reveals the importance of peer education and we see that such projects must be increased. We are aiming at blending music with other forms of arts. We are working in an effort to let music be a part of their lives during this hard period. Students are free to perform songs from different genres such as Turkish classical music or pop music."

"New talents will be discovered"
Noting that Manisa Fine Arts High School played the role of a pioneer in this project, music teacher Refika Avşar said that the project introduced fundamental painting and music knowledge to vocational high school students. She said the vocational high school students learned relief printing in the first week of painting classes and they will learn printed painting techniques in the next two weeks.

"Our school teachers and students are giving guidance but this project will allow us to discover new talents among the students of vocational high schools," Avşar added.
