The Ministry of National Education launched the Turkish Education Platform, which can be accessed through ofturkiye.eba.gov.tr with the motto "Read, Write, Listen, Speak and Think in Turkish!" Preschool, primary and secondary school students and teachers will be able to benefit from the platform developed by the MEB Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Technologies on technology-supported language learning and teaching. The platform also offers a variety of content designed to be used with electronic tools.

 

The Turkish Education Platform consists of 7 categories: "Course Contents", "Pioneers of Turkish", "Learn the Truth", "Our World of Poetry", "Library", "Have Fun and Learn" and "TDK Dictionary". Each category contains thousands of different and rich content. The "Course Contents" category was prepared in order to increase the skills and proficiency of students from preschool to university on Turkish and Turkish philology and to support their teaching processes. In the category of "Pioneers of Turkish", there are infographics, videos and audio contents of literary figures.

 

There is a rich content in the "Learn the Truth" category that primary and secondary school students can benefit from for their daily practice. In the "On Our Turkish" section within this category, the subject of beautiful and effective use of Turkish is approached. On the other hand, under the "Söz Ola" subheading, there are explanations on the correct use of common expressions in daily life. In the "Our World of Poetry" section, many poems are supported by video and audio content. 

 

There are three subheadings: "Reading Books", "Supplementary Resources" and "Audio Books" in the "Library" category for children with special needs as well as for preschool and elementary students. "Audio Books" section consists of books prepared for children with special needs and pre-school level students. "Have Fun and Learn" section includes interactive content that allows students to learn Turkish through puzzles and question-answer methods. The main page of the Turkish Language Association dictionaries can be accessed through the "TDK Dictionary" section.

 

The English Education Platform has a design that can be used by pre-school, primary and secondary school students as well as teachers in the field of technology-supported foreign language learning and teaching. The platform offers contents which were designed to be used with electronic means.

 

The platform developed by the Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Technologies can be accessed at english.eba.gov.tr.  The platform includes digitally supported content. The applications installed on the platform can be viewed on IOS, Windows and tablet operating systems.

 

Consisting of 5 categories, the platform includes approximately 1 thousand 200 contents.

 

During the formation phase of the platform, a package program called "Confusing Word" was prepared, consisting of 10 videos in which the words that are confusing were briefly explained. The English Education Platform, consisting of 5 categories called "Reading Books, Have Fun, Materials, Course Materials, and Support Materials" contains rich content. In the "Reading Books" section, there are PDF books prepared with visual elements at A1 and A2 levels in order to improve English reading skills of students.

 

In the "Have Fun" section, there are Games, Puzzles, Flashcards and Letters subheadings where students can diversify the words they use in daily life by having fun. The "Materials" section is supported by content where students can reinforce their English with the help of audiovisual elements. In the Course Materials section, there are TRT EBA videos with content from 2nd grade to the 12th grade. There is an English Activity Book prepared within the scope of the Interactive Content Project called "Zury" for primary school students in the Support Materials section. The book describes the adventures of "Zury the Giraffe" and his friends. Content production work for the platform continues.
