"SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM" BEGINS

The Ministry of National Education has started the "School Partnership Program" with the purpose of decreasing differences among schools, maintaining equal opportunities for students, boosting cooperation between schools, supporting the education process, developing a mentality based on exchange of information, culture, respect, love, social responsibility and solidarity between students.

The program aims at planning common teaching and learning processes, organizing common training programs and social activity projects by sharing experiences of schools having different resources and different education experiences. Moreover, the program has the purpose of increasing the number of good examples and forming study societies. Teachers and students are expected to exchange their education and project experiences, knowledge and culture with their peers.
 
Schools included in the partnership program are selected from Anatolia, science and social sciences high schools affiliated to the Directorate General for Secondary Education located in different cities.
 
Schools will organize online or face-to-face meetings as a part of the program. Schools which have academic, social, cultural and artistic successful examples share their written, visual and digital materials with other schools.  
 
Common study topics
"Common planning and practice of studies aiming at increasing academic success," "organization of common training programs for teachers," "cooperation in patent, useful model, brand and design registration activities," "common support and remedial courses" and "organization of social service and social responsibility projects" will be main topics of the program.
 
"Equal opportunity in education is our focal point"
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, "I have been expressing my view in every platform that equal opportunity in education is our focal point. One of the projects we have initiated in an effort to minimize opportunity differences among schools is the School Partnership Project."
 
Noting that providing equal opportunities in education is the main purpose of the program, Minister Özer stated, "It is very important to make contribution to education process by increasing cooperation and support between schools, develop dynamic school mentality based on producing and sharing and encourage students to share information, culture, love, respect, social responsibility, cooperation and solidarity." 
 
Duration of school partnership is four years and schools selected for partnership programs will be changed after the end of the duration of the program.
