MAURITANIAN STUDENTS VISIT THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION

Students from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the University of Nouakchott in Mauritania visited the Ministry of National Education as part of the "Türkiye-Mauritania Educational Bridge" program. The students were received by Deputy Minister Celile Eren Ökten.


As part of the 'Türkiye-Mauritania Educational Bridge' program, organized in coordination with the Ministry of National Education's Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations, the Yunus Emre Institute, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports' Directorate General of Youth Services, students from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the University of Nouakchott's Faculty of Letters and Humanities visited the Ministry of National Education. The students were received by Deputy Minister Celile Eren Ökten.

At the reception held in the Head Teacher's Hall of the Ministry of National Education, Ökten said: "I hope that this program with the theme of history, culture, and civilization will strengthen the academic and cultural ties between Türkiye and Mauritania, and especially give a new impetus to the studies on Turkish and Turkish culture at the University of Nouakchott." Ökten expressed her happiness to host Mauritanian students at the Ministry.

The students expressed their great happiness at being in Türkiye and thanked Deputy Minister Ökten for the warm welcome.

As part of their trip, which will take place from August 12 to 19, the students will also visit Istanbul and Bursa.

Tuba Korkmaz, Director General for European Union and Foreign Relations, was also present at the reception.
